We Need Accountability ✊

This moment demands bold leadership in defense of our democracy. Use our action guide for call scripts, petitions, and more to push our legislators to impeach, expel, investigate, and invoke the 25th immediately.

Last week was... heavy. On Tuesday, with the power of Black women organizers, GA made history by electing its first Black and Jewish U.S. Senators, Rev. Rafael Warnock—one of our 2020 All-Stars—and Jon Ossoff. That monumental victory ensured that Democrats will take control of the chamber and have a realistic path for big, structural change and building back better in the months to come. However, our celebrations were cut far too short as we watched an insurrectionist attack unfold at our nation's capitol. Let's be clear: This was a violent, White Nationalist backlash to the political advancement of Black lives and broader racial and social justice. There must be immediate accountability and consequences for those who lit the match, stoked the flames, and cheered as they burned. Please stand with us and others across the country in demanding our legislators pursue bold, immediate action to: impeach the President, expel seditious Members of Congress, investigate the failure and complicity of security at the Capitol, and pressure the Vice President and the Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment. Our Action Guide has the call scripts, petitions, and more that you'll need to effectively use your voice. Finally, we hope you'll take the time to honor your well-being and process yours emotions this week. Together,

Tyler H. & Persist Brooklyn
